Checkra1n is the first jailbreak tool compatible with the new Apple, iOS 13 firmware, and devices with chips up to model A11.
The developer and hacker Axi0mX announced in September the discovery of a new exploit called “checkm8” capable of offering the possibility to jailbreak Apple devices with “series A” chips up to model A11 Bionic. Now, Checkra1n has been released, the first tool compatible with the iPhone and iPad running on iOS 13.
According to rumors, this jailbreak may not be corrected by software update as it speaks of a hardware class exploit therefore linked to the chip physically present on the devices. Since we talked about chips up to the A11 Bionic model, this jailbreak is capable of running from iPhone 5s and later up.
At the moment, Checkra1n is available as a beta version only on macOS, later versions for Windows and Linux will arrive and it works semi-tethered so it necessarily requires the use of a computer reboot, unlike untethered that does require nothing more than the device.
