Last October, Apple presented in San Jose, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display version. However, the Cupertino company in the keynote used a photo of a Swiss photographer Sabine Liewald while Apple had previously acquired rights to the photo. The photographer filed a complaint then. Even before it could come to a court hearing, both parties have now agreed apparently. This is reflected in a corresponding document of the appropriate in New York’ court.
The precise terms of the agreement are not known. It’s likely that Apple for infringement of rights guaranteed a settlement payment to the photographer. What this turns out in the end is not clear. Apple itself wanted the incident, according to CNET , no additional remark has been equipped.
