f.lux responds to Apple About Night Shift in iOS 9.3

f.lux finally decided to respond to Apple inclusion of Night Shift runing in iOS 9.3. One of the most interesting news that came with iOS 9.3 is already famous Night Shift. This feature changes the colors showing the screen of an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad by other different. Studies have shown that, if I understand correctly, the blue light emitting displays make our circadian rhythm is altered, making it takes us about an hour to fall asleep at night. This is something we already knew f.lux developers, who have spoken of Apple’s Night Shift.

In its statement, entitled “Response to the announcement of Apple” f.lux developers Michael and Lorna are proud (and rightly) to be who started giving us this opportunity and say they have prepared something more to launch in the future . F.lux recall that has been available in Cydia since 2009 and recently could be installed with Xcode without jailbreak, but Apple removed by the certificate, probably because they had prepared Night Shift. In their statement, they ask Apple to enable them to launch f.lux for iOS and for that, they would like to open the API to assist in the investigation of sleep and chronobiology.

Today we call on Apple to allow us to release f.lux on iOS, to open up access to the features announced this week, and to support our goal of furthering research in sleep and chronobiology.

Unlike other developers who have attacked when Apple has included a function that did the work of its application, f.lux, we remember that it is a free tweak, merely wants to work together to improve the lives of users. In any case, if after the release of iOS 9.3 begin to sleep better, it is likely to regard him who is to be thankful f.lux.
