Once you get accustomed, type with Fleksy can get really fast: for the second time, third-party keyboard enters the Guinness Book of World Records, beating his own record by over a second. To accomplish the feat is always the seventeen year old Marcel Fernandes, who with his iPhone 6 Plus is able to write the following sentence in just 17.00 seconds (compared with its previous target of 18.19).
“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”
Fleksy is only one of several third-party solutions offered by the new APIs introduced with iOS 8, while Apple has improved the built-in keyboard with predictive text Quicktype. Returning to Fleksy, much of the success of the keyboard has been reached on the Android platform, hence the eponymous company is now trying to push a similar success even on iOS.
To celebrate the milestone, Fleksy finally halved the cost of its keyboard: the new prices are $3.99 and $0.99 on Android and iOS. Below are some photos and a nice video made by the team to celebrate the event, but before the badge to download the demo test (30 days) and the full version.
