nintendo-switch-fortniteFortnite is available for the Nintendo Switch. A number of leaks already suggested the release of Fortnite: Battle Royale indeed comes towards the Nintendo Switch. The immensely popular Battle Royale game can even be downloaded for Nintendo’s hybrid console starting today. As with all other platforms, the game is free-to-play.

Nintendo America CEO Reggie Fils-Aimé announces the news during the Nintendo Direct stream, on the occasion of the annual E3 gaming fair in Los Angeles. In the images you can see that players play the game with the Joy-Cons linked to the Switch, but also separately.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is a very popular Battle Royale game that began its existence as a multiplayer part of the tower defense game Fortnite. Soon there appeared to be much more interest in this new multiplayer mode than in the original Fortnite itself.

Another game that recently saw its Switch version is Fallout Shelter. It was announced by Bethesda and can be downloaded for Nintendo’s newest console since 10 June. Originally Fallout Shelter was an iOS game. That version already came out in 2015.
