One of the most important events of the year for phone enthusiasts happened yesterday, and the news did not stop for a second. Google introduced the Google Pixel Slate officially.
Google knows that at this point in the game there is no gap in the market for Android tablets but still, they have to find a solution for all those looking for an alternative to the Apple iPad with a versatility of an Android-based tablet. The idea to use Chrome OS operating system that gives life to this new Pixel Slate that has just been presented in New York.
Despite being a part of the Pixel family, the truth is that the
Pixel Slate design is different from other devices in this series. Its back does not have the iconic two-tone finish, but its panel is made of the same color as aluminum, and the only thing that reminds us of a Google device is the logo, big G in a corner.
It has a 12.3-inch screen with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels and will be compatible with the Stylus Pixelbook Pen sold separately. Its brain is an Intel processor, which is accompanied by 4, 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of flash storage, and it will be possible to acquire a back-lit physical keyboard sold separately, which in turn will serve as a cover to protect the tablet and include a track-pad to control the tablet in a more accurate way.

Price and availability of the Google Pixel Slate
The Google Pixel Slate will go on the market for now only in the United States for $599. If we want the keyboard, which goes part, you have to add $199 and another $99 for the price that the Pixel Pen has.
If you want the complete package, you will have to pay roughly $900, a price that may be too high to be a bet on iOS for iPad and Surface Windows with an ecosystem in terms of very green applications.
