
The procedure below will show you how to hard reset your iPhone X and iPhone XS, which is a very useful operation in the event of slowdowns or software problems with the device.
On iPhone XS and XS Max
Step 1: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button
Step 2: Quickly press and release the Volume Down button
Step 3: Hold the Side button (right button) until the Apple logo appears
Step 4: Release the Side button
Enter DFU mode on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max:
Step 1: Connect iPhone to iTunes
Step 2: Press and release the Volume Up button
Step 3: Press and release the Volume Down button
Step 4: Press the Side button (right button) until the screen turns black and release it
Step 5: Press and hold the Slide and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds
Step 6: Release the Side button and continue to hold the Volume Down button until iTunes detects the iPhone in DFU mode.
If you want to exit DFU mode directly from iPhone:

Ste 1: Press the Volume Up button
Step2: Press the Volume Down button
Step 3: Press and hold the Side button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo during reboot
Enter Recovery Mode to restore your iPhone to the current version of iOS:

Step 1: Connect iPhone to your computer and open iTunes
Step 2: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button and immediately press the Volume Down button
Step 3: Now hold the Side button until the “Connect to iTunes” screen appears on the screen. You are now in recovery mode.
