How to Downgrade from iOS 13 Beta to iOS 12

Apple made available the beta of iOS to public testers. Like any beta version, you may find yourself facing some unpleasant bugs but don’t worry because the process is absolutely reversible.

Before proceeding with the downgrade, it is recommended to backup your device. Once the procedure has been completed, the device will ask you to enter your Apple ID during configuration, so check to make sure that you are aware of the credentials.

The simple steps below will allow you to revert from iOS 13 beta to iOS 12.

How to Downgrade from iOS 13 Beta to iOS 12.

Step 1: Connect your device to a Mac / PC via USB cable and open iTunes

Step 2: Put your iPhone in recovery mode (DFU). The procedure is different depending on your iPhone model:

For iPhone XS, XS Max, XR .
iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus.
iPhone 7, 7 Plus.

As for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, you will need to hold down the Home button and the power button simultaneously for 10 seconds; after the 10 seconds, release the power button and continue to hold the Home button until iTunes detects the device in recovery mode or you can just follow the steps here.

Step 3: iTunes will now detect a device in recovery mode, press the Reset button to start the installation procedure.

Step 4: iTunes will install the latest public release of iOS 12 on your iPhone.

Wait for the recovery procedure to complete. The device will restart several times.

The recovery procedure is now complete! Now you just have to follow the activation procedure and you’re done.
