iFixit bought the CDMA Verizon iPhone four and function the standard disassembly, it used to be found out that the brand new Apple cellular software contains Qualcomm's MDM6600 chipset, baseband processor appropriate with CDMA and GSM networks.


According to reports , the baseband processor iPhone 4 released for Verizon could easily work with GSM networks . However, in the absence of Micro-SIM slot, the device has been enabled only for CDMA networks.

It is also noted that the chipset in question t ork perfectly with EV-DO variants to 14.7Mbps Rev. B and HSPA + to 14.4 Mbps.


Based on these precedents, the mainstream media have begun to speculate that it be included in the iPhone baseband processor 5, this smartphone could be universal and able to connect to almost all available networks around the world.
