iFixit releases guides to repair the Apple Watch battery

iFixit released repair manuals for Apple Watch. The guides cover some components of the device such as battery, screen and NFC antenna.

These guides, published by one of the most authoritative sources in the field of repair of electronic devices Apple, provide step by step instructions on how to replace the display Apple Watch and its battery, along with more tips to replace the adhesive under the display and the ‘NFC antenna.

The complete guide can be found here. To summarize, we say that the necessary steps to replace the display require to separate the screen from the body of the device, unplug the cables and battery, and proceed with the replacement. The steps for the battery are almost completely identical. More tedious, but not too difficult, is the procedure of “fix” of the adhesive under the display and NFC antenna.

We specify that although many of the tools used in the repair guides are available for purchase on the store of iFixit, the replacement components that Apple Watch as the screen and battery, are not yet available. Obviously due to the reduced availability of Apple Watch it may take a long time to find on store iFixit spare parts.[via MacRumors]
