Surprisingly, the release of an exploit that would allow the jailbreak of iOS 10.1.1 and even iPhone 7 is out in the form of Project Zero exploit. Why use the conditional tense? Because for now, this jailbreak is accessible only to those who have specific knowledge in the field of development and hacking, but soon the situation could change.
Just as expected, a jailbreak could come, but not for IOS 10.2. The prime suspect for an upcoming public release of the jailbreak seems to be iOS 10.1.1 and of course older versions. After several demonstrations by hackers, the Project Zero Team has released an exploit that could allow other hackers jailbreak scene to release a public jailbreak and stable for all users, including those who have purchased a new iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.
Necessary condition is to have a device with iOS 10.1.1 on board, especially if it’s an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Therefore if you have not yet upgraded to iOS 2.10, you should not do it right now that the jailbreak seems around the corner. If you’ve upgraded, you can downgrade to iOS via iTunes 10.1.1 not for long (for the moment the signatures of this firmware has not yet been closed, but will be soon).
For everyone else will have to wait a definitive tool that allows the jailbreak so simple and easy. It could not fail a lot however, so stay tuned because we will update you in case of developments!
