iOS 12.1 Beta 5 Now Available for Developers

Apple released the fifth Beta of iOS 12.1 along with the corresponding betas of watchOS 5.1 and tvOS 12.1, a week after launching the fourth Beta. This new version is currently only available to developers and can be downloaded from the Developer Center or via OTA.

This new fifth Beta brings compatibility with the eSIM for the iPhone XS and XS Max as the main new feature, which will allow the double SIM once carriers adapt to this protocol, new for Apple but already used by other brands for quite some time now.

In addition to this new feature, we can also see more than 70 new emoji once we update this version, although we must take into account that only users who update may also see them, as well as Android users who must wait for their phones to also support them.

What seems at the moment missing is the Apple Watch ECG, that would arrive this year with an update but at the moment there are no signs of it in watchOS 5.1 Beta 5. Other minor improvements are the stability and fault solutions.

We have not found other improvements or changes that deserve to be mentioned, but if there are we will inform you promptly.
