The Wall Street Journal reported that the next iPhone 11 should adopt a triple camera system, but only on the 6.5-inch model. This will not be the only news because according to a new report from Barclays the new iPhone will enjoy support for the new generation of Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and an improved Face ID.
In November, reliable Apple analyst Apple Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that this year’s iPhone line would include an improved Face ID. In particular, Apple should increase “the power of floodlighting to minimize the possibility that ambient light can interfere with Face ID”. Kuo explained that the new iPhone would use a new PI approach for antennas, moving from liquid crystal to MPI polymer antennas to achieve a better production yield and consequently better performance.
This month we have also seen what appear to be the first renderings of the next iPhone, with a triple chamber module on the back and a square design. The rendering came from a prototype in the engineering validation test phase and therefore could be very different from the final device.
According to Barclays, the 2019 iPhone 2019 will also include support for Wi-Fi 6 (ax), which is the latest standard of Wi-Fi connectivity increasingly present on routers available on the market. This should be the only new connectivity side as the device will not include 5G cellular connectivity support
