As suggested via the Wall Street Journal , Cirrus Logic has admitted problems of producing a device that will be mass produced from next month. Knowing that Cirrus provides for years of audio chips iPhone,iPod touch and iPad. There is only one step to affirm that the manufacturer is there to confirm that the iPhone 5 would be delayed.
Apple has traditionally iPhone earlier this summer, but rumors indicate a release of the iPhone to 5 offset the fall. Opinions differ on the interpretation: some argue that this is a change of cycle (calendar rhythm by cycles of iOS platform rather than by product cycles), others believe the contrary that it is a true example delay due to design problems or supply.
In its latest financial report, Cirrus said to have had a rejection rate too high for a particular function in an audio component of new generation. While Wolfson audio chips provided the iPod from 2001 to 2008, Cirrus team most of the Apple devices since 2007: Some analysts have therefore to think that this particular component is one of those to be the iPhone 5 – then it could also affect the iPod, or another manufacturer.
Of course, neither Apple nor Cirrus have commented on the case, but the share price of companies was down at this news.
