Apple has acquired a patent for an interchangeable iPhone camera. Many companies offer external lenses and Apple is now investigating the possibilities to jump into that market, reported by CultofMac .

The patent shows that the developers of the functionality of the Apple iPhone camera to expand to even be able to shoot better pictures. In addition, other companies earn well to the sale of lenses and if Apple will soon come with their own lenses, they are a part of that turnover itself within reach.

It is not clear whether this patent is also true. Due to the interchangeable lens, there are more moving parts on the IOS device, which complicates the iPhone. Therefore there are more parts that can break and the design will be less tight. It is therefore doubtful whether Jonathan Ive agrees. It seems at least not very likely that we have an interchangeable camera back on the iPhone 5.
