There are still a a day to go until the official unveiling of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but in the meantime, we will undoubtedly see appearing appropriate rumors about the pair. The latest leak focuses on the performance of the new iPhones, because in the benchmark Geekbench app has found a reference to an unknown iPhone with the new Apple A10 soc.

iPhone 7 series even faster

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will most likely be powered by the Apple A10-soc and could beat the scores, we can again expect a significant performance gain compared to the iPhone 6s series. We love to attend another blow to the arm, because there is a chance that it is an Android phone with a custom build.prop file.

The device in question was identified as the “iPhone9,3”, which suggests that this is the iPhone 7 Plus. In the single-core test knows the A10 soc to put down a score of 3379, an increase in performance of 28.89 percent from the 2526 score of the A9. The multi-core test leads to a score of 5495 and hence the dual-core A10 do it again better than the iPhone 6s series with score of 4404 (+ 22%).

The performances are also slightly lower due to the fact that they are equipped with the new 4.0 Geekbench app. Competing chipsets, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 Galaxy S7 / Note 7 achieve similar scores, but let Apple’s competition far behind in terms of single-core performance and that is a good advantage since not all apps are optimized for multiple cores.

No model with 3GB of RAM?

We see also that the alleged iPhone 7 Plus is assisted by 2GB LPDDR4 memory while KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo still brought out at the weekend that this model additional 1GB of RAM would have to process the captured images that are shot with the new dual camera. In addition, it is striking that the device runs on IOS 10.1, while iOS 10 has not even rolled out publicly. It could be that Apple is already working on a patch, but it is more likely that an update with bug fixes introduced as iOS version 10.0.1.

Screen-Shot-2016-09-05-at-8.41.27-PMThe good news is that Apple’s upcoming Wednesday, September 7th at 19:00 Dutch time will put an end to all doubts. It is expected that the iPhone 7 iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch will be presented at the Apple event.
