According to new report the iPhone 8 will be made out of a glass body and stainless steel frame: the front and the rear will be formed entirely from glass, while the side frames are made of stainless steel, with a solution similar to the iPhone 4. For the next model, Apple should use the same stainless steel of the Apple Watch, but it is unknown if the metal is polished or treated with a matte finish. The front glass will have a slightly curved profile (2.5D) as on current models, while the display should be completely flat, in spite of what they read until today. The reason? Simplify the process of manufacturing a smartphone which already offers other technically complex innovations such as integrated sensors within the display.

Also confirmed the elimination of the Home button, which will be fully integrated in the display in what will be the iPhone’s functional area 8. Except problems, even the Touch ID will be integrated into the display. Specifically, the OLED panel will be 5.8-inch.

With regard to the rear camera, it is confirmed the vertical position, together with the presence of functions dedicated to augmented reality. Along with the iPhone 8 will be released later this year iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus with small hardware innovations than current models. These two models, however, may be thicker than the iPhone 7/7 Plus, because of the presence of new, more advanced components.
