According to a new and reliable report, the name of the 2018 6.5-inch Apple smartphone could be iPhone Xs Max.

Last week, we got to see photos of the new iPhone Xs that will be officially announced by Apple on September 12th. After that important indiscretion, 9To5Mac have always found that the name of the larger version, with a 6.5-inch diagonal display, should be iPhone Xs Max.

The 5.8-inch model, so that equivalent to the current iPhone X, will instead be called iPhone Xs, except last-minute surprises.

From what we read then, Apple would have abandoned the “Plus” nomenclature for its devices replacing it with the “Max” one. This is an interesting choice, which will certainly discuss the fans and experts in the coming days and at the official presentation of Apple.

This iPhone Xs Max should count on 4GB of RAM, on the new A12 chip and the dual SIM option, according to what they say the latest rumors.

The event is scheduled for September 12th and we will of course cover this event.
