A week away from the iPad event presentation, Apple has not confirmed what to expect about the new products, however, there have been rumors of a new refresh of the iPad Pro.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared some anticipations about the possible novelties that will be presented by Apple.
Kuo confirms that two new iPad Pro models will be presented, the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch with a USB-C port, improved displays, and a redesigned Apple Pencil. Also new for the appearance, no Home button, thinner frames, and Face ID but without the Notch.
According to Kuo, Apple is working on a new version of the iPad mini that has been waiting for an update, both hardware and aesthetic, for years. The new model should integrate an updated processor and a low-cost panel, but the analyst does not know if it will be presented on October 30th or will be launched between the end of 2018 and early 2019.
The analyst is certain that Apple will present new Macs during the October 30th event. Certainly, there should be a new “low-cost” MacBook, as well as small hardware upgrades for the MacBook, iMac and Mac mini.
According to Kuo, Apple may launch new AirPods and the expected AirPower charging base towards the end of the year or the first three months of 2019. Unless there are surprises, Apple should still provide information on the launch of the AirPower during the October 30th event.
