These documents, the originals “confidential” presentation in the form of goods, yesterday briefly fully available on the Internet. This document shows that the CPU of the PlayStation 4 Neo approximately 1.3 times should be faster than the CPU of normal PS4. The GPU would approximately 2.3 times more flops afford (a total of 4.2 TFLOPS) and memory bandwidth will be 1.24 times higher. In Neo-mode developers about 512MB more direct memory would also be available with 5.5 GB total.

While nothing is indicated on Neo or in the title or description, dates coincide with the calendar rumored Sony, which aims to October for the evolution of the PS4. Moreover, these would be the alleged specifications:

Specifications of PS4K (NEO)

Technical data of the PS4

The PlayStation 4 is Neo 4K support for UHDTV owners offer, but also bring improvements for owners of HDTV sets with it. Called to a higher and more stable frame rate, additional graphical “fidelity” and other graphics features. In the document it is recommended that a 1920×1080 display buffer (frame buffer) should be selected if a HDTV is connected. 3840×2160 is a display buffer for 4K TV recommend, but with the indication that efficient rendering methods to be used, for example, “Checkerboard Rendering” (50% faster rendering without much loss of quality). Also resolution variants as 3520×1980 incl. Subsequent upscaling to 4K are possible. Nevertheless, the developer should ensure that the game on the PS4 Neo with the same or a better frame rate as on the PlayStation 4 runs.

After her experience to lower resolutions such as 1440p have on 4K TVs wich is a little different to 1080p on HDTV devices and are best avoided. They “hope” that modern rendering technology could ensure to reach resolutions that are closer to the 2160p mark. They would even work on technologies to enhance the resolution that require little additional performance. Besides “Checkerboard rendering” is spoken of “Geometry rendering”. The latter could provide a remedy to achieve resolutions above 1800P, unless this would be a problem.

Although Sony has the development of the PlayStation 4 officially confirmed the authenticity of the document may still be doubted.

In addition, all PS4 games will be compatible with Neo, and developers who would decide whether or not to take this extra power of the new console.
