Past this week, Lenovo took to YouTube to announce their very newest Ice Cream Sandwich-enabled slate – the IdeaTab S2109. The brand new pill appears to be like similar to the unique iPad, being the identical kind issue and applying the very same show – a 9.7” unit that runs at a decision of 1024 x 768. The show is hooked up on a unibody shell that additionally features a micro HDMI port, 4 built-in audio system and a micro SD card slot.

The battery life is also supposed to be similar to the iPad, at ten hours under normal conditions. That’s pretty impressive for an 8.9” thick chassis.

Internally, we’re not quite sure what’ll be inside. We guess that it’s likely to be a Snapdragon S4 CPU running at 1.5 GHz, given that chip’s inclusion in the similarly specced IdeaTab S2, and that therefore the S2109 will come in below that tablet’s $349 price point. The S2109 also features only a front-facing camera instead of the S2’s dual front-and-rear option, so that will likely play a role as well. Still, if the S2109 is delivered at an aggressive price then it could definitely prove popular.
