MediaTek introduced a 64-bit 8-core processor with support for recording Full HD-video at 480 fps



MediaTek  introduced its first 8-core 64-bit processor for MediaTek MT6795 mobile devices . One of the distinguishing features of the MT6595 is the ability to record video in Full HD at a frequency of 480 frames per second.

The new microprocessor is based on 64-bit architecture. It belongs to a truly 8-core platforms and includes full 8 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and technology CorePilot, providing support for multiprocessor computing and temperature control.

MediaTek MT6795 supports dual-channel memory LPDDR3 at up to 933 MHz and displays with resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 pixels. Chip enables shooting and playback Full HD video at 480 fps (mode slow-motion), and also has built-in support LTE-networks (Rel. 9, Category 4 FDD and TDD LTE at speeds up to 150/50 Mbit / s).

Provides hardware support for playback / recording H.265 Ultra HD video. In its users will be the standard for most chipsets, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, FM-radio, GPS / Glonass, Beidou and ANT +. First smartphone based on MediaTek MT6795 processor may appear before the end of 2014.
