New iOS 8 display framework confirms the release of a larger iPhone

iPhone-6-Martin-Hajek-010-1024x569Rumors about the iPhone with large diagonal screen appeared on the web for many times, but this time, things are different: there are obvious confirmation of such devices from the manufacturer. New iOS 8 adaptive display framework shows that Apple is getting ready to release mobile devices with alternate screen sizes.

The new protocol is called UIAdaptivePresentationControllerDelegate and it is responsible for handling mobile apps graphics depending on the device screen size. In the past, Apple’s developer tools, expected to work with four sizes display : 3.5 and 4 inches for the iPhone and iPod touch, 7.9 and 9.7 inches for the iPad. With the release of  the “adaptive” framework,  applications will be compatible with any screen.

“Developers at WWDC told that the framework Adaptive Display is one of the novelties of this year. It works almost as well as OS Android: scales the vector values so that they fit the different screen sizes. This means that when Apple releases one or more larger smartphones, developers will not be difficult, as is the case with the iPhone 5 in 2012, resize graphics, icons, etc., to meet these devices, “- wrote in blog developer Charles Arutr.

It is noteworthy that at the WWDC 2014 keynote slides dedicated to developing applications for iOS 8, the following phrases: “Learn how to update your code for future Apple products ” and “Learn to use Auto Layout to create adaptive interfaces with support for different screen sizes and orientations . ”

Earlier this week, the existence of  a large iPhone was confirmed officially, issued on Foxconn press release . iPhone shipments with a screen size of 4.7 inches will start in July, a  5.5-inch screen in August, said the manufacturer.

In a press release Foxconn said that the company will provide deliveries for 70% of  f 4.7-inch iPhone screen in 2015, while for the current year, based on Apple sales, smart phones with 4 and 4.7 inches will be provided.
