The Chinese company presented a new phone, yet another top-of-the-range Android smartphone with a notch!
In today’s London event, OnePlus 6 has finally been made official. The differences compared to the previous 5T are substantial and, although it is equipped with a first level hardware, the aesthetic test is lost a bit ‘among all the other smartphones that have the notch.
The glass now also covers the back but does not enable the Wireless charging as one might expect.
The notch, however, is there but there is not, in the sense that you can use a trick to make the pixels uniform by making them turn off and make it so similar to the 5T.
Already, there is a first difference in concept: if Apple wants to show and notice its notch, some Android manufacturers prefer to implement it but make it disappear if necessary or according to personal tastes.
Like other manufacturers, Huawei first of all, OnePlus intensifies its forces on the camera but does not do it by upsetting sensors and resolutions but uses AI algorithms that make the best shots, also accompanied by dynamic HDR.
20-megapixel secondary sensor and 16-megapixel primary sensor with a f1.7 aperture. The latter is now equipped with optical stabilization, as well as electronic.
At the front the camera is electronically stabilized and the resolution is 16MP.
Even the videos have been taken to a new level with the ability to shoot movies in 4K at 60 fps and shoot a Super Slow Motion in two different resolutions and with different slowdown modes:
OnePlus continues to install the Alert Slider which, assuming three positions, gives us the possibility to adjust sounds and notifications with a touch.
Another noteworthy news is the impermeability that OnePlus claims to have implemented in minimal form (but without a valid certification) to make it possible to resist accidental falls into the water.
Finally we conclude with prices and colors, remembering that it will be sold starting May 22nd
On June 5, there will be available also the limited edition Silk White with golden details such as the logo, the perimeter of the fingerprint sensor and that of the Dual Cam. The price will be $529 euros in Midnight Black and Mirror Black.
Thus, the new phone Killer surrenders to the Notch and takes advantage of the current trend. But not to “comply” with Apple makes its users choose whether to hide it or not.
