Without losing any time, Sony announced that the PlayStation 5 will be available “in time for Holiday 2020”, which usually means the time before Christmas.
The second important finding of the announcement: Although it was basically all known, yet it is now official that the name of the console will be PlayStation 5.
Although no official pictures of the console are yet known, the magazine WIRED has already been able to gain some insights into the subtleties of the new controller and user interface.
So the controller of the PlayStation 5 will contain two brand new features:
- Haptic Feedback – Instead of the familiar rumble feature, the PS5 controller will be able to send much more complex signals. So, it will feel a lot different whether you’re banging into another player in FIFA, or driving against a wall at full speed in a racing game.
- Adaptive Trigger developers will be able to manually adjust the resistance of the L2 and R2 triggers in the future, so it will be a distinctly different experience to squeeze the trigger of a pistol or tighten a heavy hunting bow.
More information about the awaited console Sony console will be gradually shared with the public during the year.
