Once again, Sony more than ever on exclusivity, to the benefit of the players with the PS5 gaming console. With the PlayStation 5, Sony is once again focusing on strong in-house productions and exclusive games. According to the company, the sales argument is said to have even gained in importance.
As far as the exclusive games are concerned, Sony has always been one step ahead, and that should remain the case with the PS5. The strategy already paid off in the PS4 in the competition to Xbox One. An example from the winter of 2017: With Gravity Rush 2, Nioh, and Horizon Zero Dawn, not all exclusives are mentioned for this period, but only Halo Wars 2 appeared on Xbox One.

Sony is increasingly targeting the production and licensing of exclusive games for the PS5. Of the 28 games Sony showed at the “Future of Gaming” presentation, nine are PS5-exclusive, and another 14 are time-exclusive. In an interview with The Guardian, Sony’s Simon Rutter once again emphasized that “exclusive games are more important than ever.” He also believes that studios can get the most out of the console through games designed for the PS5. That should be a plus for the players.
Among the nine exclusive games are titles like Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and the remake of Demon’s Souls. For some time after the release, for example, Deathloop (Bethesda), Godfall (Gearbox), and Project Athia (Square Enix) are only available for the PS5.
