RIM Responds to Apple Antenna Problems

The day past used to be held Apple Press conference in which it was dealt with the reception problem that afflicts the 'four iPhone, Steve Jobs himself stated that everything has been greatly inflated, showing a demo where you could see other smartphones with the same problem of 'iPhone 4. One of the first phones that we saw in the demo is the RIM Blackberry Bold 9700.

A few hours later came the official reply of RIM i
n this conference. Here's what they said two CEOs of RIM (Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie)

The attempt of Apple to take on RIM in its debacle is unacceptable. Apple gives guidance on RIM trying to distort the public's attention from the problem of antenna design and to divert attention from its plight. RIM is a world leader in antenna design, and has successfully designed products industry-leading wireless data radio performance with efficient and effective for over 20 years. During this time, RIM has avoided designs such as Apple has used with the iPhone 4 and instead used an innovative design that reduces the risk of dropped calls, especially in areas of low coverage. One thing is certain, customers RIM does not need to use a case for their BlackBerry smartphones to keep a proper connection. Apple has clearly made some design decisions and should take responsibility for these decisions, rather than trying to draw RIM and others in a situation that applies specificall
y to them.

Strong words, even dictated by resentment towards a market leader who has made a mistake.
