BGR says that requests for leave at Apple were rejected on Thursday, especially between 3 and Sunday, February 6. A tunnel would be linked to the launch of the iPhone in the Verizon (first in mobile phone, just before AT&T).

Recently pictures of this supposed new iPhone have appeared, and a video that Apple has obtained the withdrawal of YouTube. It showed structural changes, including the position of the antennas.

They have cited factors such as the blacked out employee vacation requests between February 3rd and 6th, and the trend of Verizon announcements on Thursdays to conclude that it is indeed going to be February 3rd when we will finally get to see AT&T lose its iPhone exclusivity to Verizon wireless.

Back in June of last year, Apple picked the dates of 24th to the 27th for its iPhone 4 weekend launch — also a Thursday through Sunday. In addition, Verizon Wireless typically launches new devices on Thursdays. While BGR has not yet confirmed that the Verizon iPhone is the device we’ll see debut on the 3rd, the timing lines up very well with previous reports; no other Apple products have been rumored to be launching in this time frame.

Apple is regularly absent from CES, though the company did release its Mac App Store on Thursday. Apple normally uses the spring to updates its line of laptops and the iPhone. A white iPhone 4 is expected to being selling on AT&T sometime this spring.
