Samsung Galaxy S9 Leak Renders Show Rumored Design

On February 25, Samsung will reveal its next top smartphone generation. Just a few days before, almost all the details about the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have come to the public’s attention.

With the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, the industry leader will present its next generation of high-end smartphones next Sunday night. Unfortunately, there are not any big surprises, because most of the details and features have been dug up by Roland Quandt from Winfuture.

As has been known for some time, Samsung has strongly geared its new smartphone generation to the Galaxy S8. However, the South Koreans have eradicated various criticisms such as the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. So this is no longer installed next to, but below the camera, so it will be easier to reach.

On the front side, almost frameless super OLED displays with diamond pixel matrix and 5.8 or 6.2 inch diagonals are used again. Both solve with 2,960 x 1,440 pixels and have an aspect ratio of 18.5: 9 Samsung has slightly changed the position of the panels, whereby the lower display edge could be reduced.

For the cameras, Samsung uses a dual camera with two 12-megapixel sensors in the Plus model (SM-G965), similar to the Galaxy Note 8 (test). The Galaxy S9 has a single sensor with 12 megapixels. Again confirmed is a variable aperture with f/1.5 and F/2.4, where the secondary sensor of the plus model should have a f/2.4 aperture

Through this technology optimal results can be achieved in all scenarios – even in low light. In addition, both models support a slow-motion feature that can record video at up to 960 frames per second. How high the resolution of slow-motion videos is remains unclear. Both sensors feature optical image stabilization and a combination of laser and dual-pixel autofocus for fast focusing. On the front there is an eight-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture with auto-focus.

For the first time in a Galaxy S model, the company relies on stereo speakers that have been optimized by AKG – according to Samsung, the sound “new dimensions”. Combined with the included headsets with AKG branding, the Galaxy S9 models even provide surround sound.

Other features of the Samsung Galaxy S9 (Plus) include IP68 protection, as with its predecessors, as well as iris scanners and face recognition. It is also believed that Samsung will be similar to Apple’s iPhone X Animojis on board and also a better 3D face recognition. This is at least possible with the new Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845 processors.
