With the iOS 8 introduced , Apple announced that application developers will receive a number of new features that are not available in previous firmware versions . One of them is an API for creating alternative keyboards .

Finally , Fleksy already opened registration in the keyboard beta program, calling it one of the first third-party tools for iOS 8 input . An invite can be a request at the company’s official website . So this Fall, iPhone and iPad owners will get a wide selection of input devices .
Currently iOS 8 officially available only to developers. But later on, Apple plans to open the beta program to the new platform , which will be able to accept a broader range of users. This is the way it will be possible to test the new keyboard before the official release of iOS 8.
