A new iPad Pro for next year is almost certain. After the 2018 iPad Pro, it is time for the iPad Pro 2020. There have been rumors that the iPad Pro will have three cameras and now we get an idea of what this may look like based on information from rumors @OnLeaks thanks to iGeeksBlog
In general, the 2020 iPad Pro is very similar to the current model, meaning a design without a home button and Face ID. The edges are squared once more and there will be the 11- and 12.9-inch model. The 11-inch model has dimensions of 248 x 178.6 x 5.9 mm according to the source.
On the other hand, the 12.9-inch version will have a glass back, similar to the iPhone 11 Pro. It is unclear why since there is no mention of wireless charging. Moreover, with such a large device as the iPad Pro, it is also somewhat inconvenient. The 11-inch version will simply receive an aluminum housing. The biggest difference in the new model is the camera bump with three lenses.
In terms of design, this is almost the same as with the current iPhone 11 Pro. That means a square block with three triangular-shaped lenses, a flash at the top right and a microphone at the bottom left.
“OnLeaks, a popular leaker, reports that the upcoming 2020 iPad Pro models may feature the same dimensions as seen in 2018 models. However, OnLeaks has shared dimensions of 11″ iPad Pro only, which might flaunt roughly 248 x 178.6 x 5.9mm (7.8mm including rear camera bump).
Apart from height and width, the thickness of the future devices can be a bit more as Apple is planning to install triple camera lenses. Of course, you can compare the camera bump of upcoming iPads with that of iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max.“
Apple is expected to announce this new iPad Pro in 2020 spring, possibly during an event in March. Earlier, there was talk of a 3D camera that can see depth better. This is possible thanks to a so-called time-of-flight sensor.
