As promised in Apple event that took place a couple hours ago, tvOS 9.2 is now available to download, a new version of the operating system for the fourth generation Apple TV includes a good bunch of interesting news. tvOS is release along with iOS 9, the most interesting operating system with new features, or even more than the mobile operating system from Apple. It is understandable, since TVOS is an operating system with just a few months of life and is the one that needs to improve. Without going any further, at first we could not even use the Remote application to enter text, which, fortunately, has long been possible. Then you have all the innovations that come with the latest operating system for Apple TV 4.
When you install an application any iOS device (and TVOS is an adapted version of iOS 9 for the Apple TV 4 version), this is the last of all sets. This has its positive side, since we always located, but also makes the screen end up having very messy start. If you do not have the ability to create folders, it’s even worse. This has changed with the arrival of iOS 9 as you can see in the picture above. Folders can be created like we can do in iOS and OS X. Perfect!
As you see in the picture below, when the icons are set to shake, we can perform some actions like in iOS. They pressing the Play / Pause for a second appear several options and controls.
Use of Bluetooth keyboards
When the fourth generation Apple TV is put on sale, writing was a nightmare. Remote use Siri to control the system is fine, nobody denies that, but having to find the letters one by one by sliding on a line that is the alphabet is not productive. Shortly after we were able to enter text with the Remote application and from tvOs 9.2, we can use Bluetooth keyboards.
Support for MapKit
Or what is the same, for applications that make use of native Apple maps. Like everything ends -Kit, this is not something that users can access if they are not tools for developers to add in their applications, in this case, information Maps. In other words, from now we begin to see in the App Store TVOS applications that make use of Apple Maps.
When the Apple TV 4 went on sale, Siri was only available in 8 languages.
