The high-end phone from LG is presented at an event held simultaneously in several cities | One improvement that has generated most interest is the 16 megapixel camera, optical stabilizer and an opening of 1.8F

LG G4 Design

As the rumors predicted, the LG G4 has a removable rear finished leather and other plastic. Under this one also removable battery and slots for microSD and SIM card hidden. How could it be otherwise, in the back of the LG G4 is the keypad under the camera, which is guarded by the sensor laser autofocus and double LED flash. Note that the button ‘Home’ returns to be rectangular as in the LG G2, leaving aside the LG G3 circular shape.

Those who prefer can opt for a plastic back imitating the metal, as the LG G3 will be available in silver, gold and white.

The LG G4 is a curved terminal, as the G Flex 2 and as we said a representative of LG at MWC. The manufacturer’s intention is to move from phone curved screens 4.7 inches. Proof of this is the new midrange.

Screen Display

“You think all QHD screens are the same?”. With this sentence begins one of the teasers for the presentation and LG have defended this idea. It is not a simple 5.5-inch screen and Quad HD resolution, but thanks to the Quantum IPS technology and its curved shape, the user experience is improved.

Quantum’s new IPS display provides 25% brighter and 20% larger range of colors. The Quantum technology is already used by other manufacturers as BQ and provides stronger colors through a filtration method.

LG G4 Firmware

LG debuts G4 user interface. This is LG UX 4.0, designed according to the manufacturer to better understand human needs. This means basically that the interface is easy and intuitive to use. So this release is defined as lighter without much bloatware.

In the following video we can see the evolution of all LG user interfaces.

LG UX 4.0 also comes new functions. Among those found ‘Quick Shot’, ‘Gesture Interval Shot’, ‘Ringtone ID’ and ‘Quick Memo +’. We must also add improvements in system applications thanks to ‘Smart Calendar’, ‘Smart Gallery’, ‘Smart Notice’ and ‘Quick Help’.

Quick Shot

This function is related to the camera and allows us to take a photo quickly without having the application open. Only we have to click twice the volume button down to take the picture. It also works with the screen off, so we save a lot of time.

Gesture Interval Shot

Perfect for lovers selfies. This function converts our camera in front of a camera booth made four shots in a row. So we can put different faces and finally select the ones you like best.

Ringtone ID

With it we create personalized ringtones for your contacts, so we know who is calling without looking at your phone. Honestly I do not see this very revolutionary role because it has always been possible to somehow do this.

Quick Memo +

The notes application now allow us to paste the contents of web pages so that only the relevant information you need appears.

Smart Gallery

This function will allow us to quickly locate images. And thanks to the ‘Memories’ option we can organize photos and videos by location and time automatically, without uploading to the cloud.

Smart Calendar

With this intelligent calendar have unified all our agendas and calendars.

Smart Notice

This option has been revised to provide more personalized messages on weather, travel opportunities, etc.

Quick Help

In conjunction with the widget ‘Smart Notice’ this terminal users can get answers to any questions you have about the management of LG G4.

With a 16 MP sensor and f / 1.8 camera LG G4 receives 80% more light than the LG G3, making outstanding in low light conditions. The camera features a 2.0 OIS sensor that ensures better image stabilization, surpassing the levels that we had used the LG G3.

A new feature of your software have the ‘Expert Mode’, a great absence in the LG G3. Thanks to this so we can have more control over your photos by selecting the focus, shutter speed, ISO, white balance and exposure value. In addition, you can record images in JPEG format and RAW format.

LG camera incorporates a sensor G4 color spectrum (CSS, its acronym in English). The LG G4 is the first smartphone in rejoining this function, which improves the consistency of color using the RGB values of the ambient light. Thus, in its reading, for example, how the infrared light reflected on objects. So that adjusts the white balance according to this information, as well as the flash to provide more natural colors.

As for the front chamber, it has chosen LG 8 MP, to get a perfect sharp selfies sensor. Moreover, as we advance in the software section, thanks to ‘Interval Shot’ we can make 4 selfies followed to decide which one we like most of them.
