YouTube app for iOS now gets a dark theme. Since Google took action against third-party apps such as ProTube, the original YouTube app remains available in the App Store. Now there are innovations, because the so-called “Dark Mode” is now available for (almost) all.
YouTube has already made the dark layout available on the desktop version, and selected users have been able to activate the dark design on their mobile devices. Now YouTube has flipped the switch and rolls out the dark layout for all users. To activate the mode, click on your profile and navigate to the settings. Here you should have a switch for the “dark design” at the top.
For example, the switch is not yet reachable for me. If that’s the case with you as well, you have to be patient. Also make sure that you have the latest version installed, sometimes it also helps to reinstall or restart the app.
